Ingredients

1 cup white sugar
5 tbl cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 tbl lemon juice
5 cups fresh blueberries
1.5 tbl butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F, for ½ – 1 hr before baking.

Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minuntes, or until golden brown. If crust browns to much, cover sides with foil.

Mix everything together except butter, fold together very softly. Pour mixture into crust, dot with butter. Cut remaining pastry into ¾ inch strips, make lattice top, crimp and flute edges.

Bake in middle shelf until golden brown.

Comments

Let pie sit 1 hr before cutting.

Adjust sugar to sweetness of blueberries.

Makes 1 - 9 inch double crust pie
